i almost forgot how i love malena until i watched it for the third time last friday. then an ephiphany for me: when you dressed provocatively, when you chose a solitary life, when you are not with a man, and you have an ethereal beauty, you are automatically outcasted. unless otherewise you decided to conform. hay, such a sad film. pinapakita lang kung gaano kababaw ang tao.

my two favorite mexicans!!! his hotness gael garcia bernal and diego luna had a movie last year and i'm not even aware of it..hahaha!! the trailer reminds me of y tu mama tambien...hay i'm gonna marry gael someday but he still doesn't have a clue yet..hehehe

isang dekada na din kitang binabati ng happy birthday, hindi ka pa ba nagsasawa? kasi ako hindi :) yung unang beses na binati kita nasa francisco e. barzaga elementary school tayo para sa gawad parangal a.k.a. pagkubra ng pera kay mayor. dumating kang badtrip, tapos ang kulit ko. inuulit ulit ko na sabay ang bertdey mo sa gawad. big deal. hahaha!!
langya ang tanda na natin!!akala ko pa man din after 6th grade hindi na tayo magkikita. pero hanggang ngayon iisa lang pinagtatrabahuan natin. mas matagal pa nga ang ating relasyon kesa nung sa inyo ni herbert. hahaha!! kahit hindi na tayo masyadong nagkikita ngayon, ramdam ko pa din ang iyong presensya. salamat, janine!!at happy birthday uli. mahal kita :)

mon and i were so ecstatic upon learning that four filipino films (three full length, one short) will be screened in cannes film festival this may!!my gaaaddddd!!!!!a single in competition film is more than enough, but four!!come on. the world of cinema is once again recognizing the talents of filipino filmmakers. the bernal-brocka era is here once again.the in-competition film will be brilliante mendoza's kinatay, director of last year's phillipines entry in cannes, serbis. mendoza will be competing with THE directors: quentin tarantino (my love), ang lee (not really a big fan), jane campion (i love her "the piano"), almodovar (kowtow, people.magbigay pugay)..
i think there's also a film feauring piolo pascual and THE rosanna roces. it for special screening i believe. kamusta naman yun!!!!!!!!!!!!god i wish i could attend cannes someday.. have to marry gael garcia bernal, quick!!hahaha..

a new film by lars von trier, antichrist will be featured in this year's cannes film festival. i'm just not sure if its in competition or in whatever category. sabi its a "horror" movie, i wonder pano atake ni von trier dito. will it be like dancer in the dark? or dogville? i wonder pano itsura ng horror movie na gawa nya...hindi pa kasi ako nakakapanood ng horror movies nya eh..i'm so excited!!!hehehe
it stars wilhem defou (tama ba spelling?) and the girl from the science of sleep. ang weird ng casting..hehe

hindi naman ako bobo. pero aminado ako that i failed math 11 when i was in college: my
very first failing grade in my entire academic life. pero hindi ko alam kung anu ang ginagawa ko ngayon sa realm ng stocks, bonds at mutual funds. madali naman ako umintindi. maalam naman ako magmemorya. pero pagdating talaga sa numero, ewan ko ba, my brain automatically shuts down. as in wala,blanko, tabula rasa, power supply out. ang tendency ko lang kapag kaharap na ang mga tropa ni diloy (terror titser ko sa math nung 3rd year hayskul) ay tumitig ng bonggang bongga sa mga artipisyal na problemang dulot ng math.
naisip ko tuloy ngayon, maybe i should have stick with what i do best: talking a lot. kung nababayaran lang sana ang pagdada. naisip ko din tuloy, sa sobrang toxic ng buhay ko ngayon dahil sa mga stocks, bonds at mutual funds, napagtanto ko na siguro i would have excelled kung nasa law school ako. tutal mas madali pa din sa akin ang magmemorya at intindihin ang mga batas kahit pa na sabihing artipisyal din naman sila tulad ng mga pinoproblema ng numero
oh well, tingnan na lang natin kung makakayanan pa ang naghihimutok ko nang utak ang walang habas sa pagtakbo sa marathon kasama na pinangungunahan ng mga options, puts at calls.

i'm loving paprika to pieces!!no, it is the "rekado" your mom is using in the kitchen. haha!! i've seen this film almost 3 weeks ago but the effect of it still lingers inside my head. weird though,i learned about this film from vogue. yes, THE vougue fashion magazine :)
the japanese really never fails to impress me. the idea of blurring, and ultimately eliminating, the borderline between reality and dreams is rather unique and very japanese.only the japs can can concoct such a magnificent and somehow realistic film (yes, i actually belived and somehow hoped, this can happen) out of a very simple and fantasy-esque concept.now tell me you are not intrigued?
