i've made an absolutely unpardonable offense to the fellowship of the bookworms. i almost ripped in half the back cover of my copy of chocolat! i appeal to you, my comrades, to absolve me from this sin for it is purely an unfortunate accident.out of sheer recklessness i pulled chocolat out of my bag without noticing that the back cover was caught in the zipper of my wallet. how it happened i have no idea. i, for one, would never intendedly commit such an appalling misdeed against our loyal and sublime companions. huhuhuhuhu!!!! i felt horrible, really! huhuhuhuhuhu!!!! oh had it been a murakami book or my copy of the virgin suicides or my the hours i will be beyond devastated i will perform hakakiri straightway..huhuhuhu!!!
postscript : after her lament, pebi had fixed the book (thanks to the magic touch of her little friend, scotch tape) and continued on reading it as if nothing had happened.......
oh for heaven sake, i really fell guilty!books should not be treated like that!they have lives too!it's me being obsessive- compulsive again.
