trivia: my brother's name is spelled like "doraemon" minus the "do". now you know why i call him "mon".hehehe
the parasitic relationship (yes, there's no other way i can put it) between nobita ang doraemon is at first irksome. nobita's always running to doraemon for help, and although doraemon will at first object to nobita's frivolous request he will still relent to he's wishes. then if everything get screwed up, doraemon will always give his quintessential "hindi mo makukuha lahat ng gusto mo ng ganon kadali nobita" advice or something like that. as a matter of fact, i reckon doraemon is one of the few anime bida with high morals. pero ang boses nya galing sa ilong so it's difficult to say if he's advice is conscientiously stated or he's merely coerced to utter those lines.hehehe

i have had a love-hate relationship with this anime. one moment i wanted to strangle princess sarah to death for the reason of excessive altruism (not to mention unbelievable katangahan), and the other i'm wallowing like i lost a tooth. i also remembered dragging tatay to the cinema just to watch star cinema's screen adaptation of this (let's face it) most loved drama anime in the country. but really, i prefer angelica panganiban over camille prats for the title role.

i was in kindergarten if i'm not mistaken when the first episode of cedie aired in abs cbn (note: abs had been rerunning cedie for a number of times and i'm actually watching one of them now while waiting for the 80th oscars). i can't believe i cried so hard as if my kindergarten archenemy twisted my hair in her fingers before forcefully pulling them when cedie's dad, james, passed away. for a kid, seeing such drama in a context of an anime is a torture. nonetheless it is the kind of torture anyone who has been a fan of cedie will willingly endure. *sniff*

out of sheer boredom, my brother and i whimsically exploited the availability of internet broadband connection and youtube. it started out by mindlessly typing "mojacko" in the youtube searchbox, and the next thing we know we are singing in (gibberish) japanese with the intro song and hence a brilliant idea is conceived =) in the next few days i will be featuring the anme that had become a big part of my not so distant childhood. i am quite sure young people of my age who practically had TV access during their pre-puberty stage will surely relate to this japanese exports that had once made me cry, sing, and even spoke some odd incantations.
be bored as hell as you please. as for me, i am only feeling a little nostalgique. enjoy!

mukhang nagkakasakit na ako. yan ang hiniling ko sa hangin nung nasa mala-box office na pila sa UP fair nung nakaraang sabado.uhog dito, uhog doon. dry cough dito, dry cough doon. goodluck! i have to be sick now na para maasikaso ko na mga dapat asikasuhin. dahil pagnagkasakit ako, ibig sabihin hindi ako makakapasok. at meron akong time para mag-ayos ng papel. di na baleng magkanda tumbatumba at magkatambling tambling sa pag-aayos ng papeles basta maayos na yang mga papel na yan!hahaha!lintik na paper yan.anu ba kasing paper yun?a oo, bond paper..hehe

many are rather ecstatic of this "expected" news of fidel castro's retirement, especially cuba's friendly neighbor uncle sam. but for a quintessential polsci student of UPM (and had sir doti and sir bobby as professors for that), this news is received morosely. i may not be a strong adherent of communism, but lolo fidel (as my blockmates and i fondly call him) had been an inspiration and a role model. for years he defied imperialist manipulation and invoked political will for the preservation of cuba's sovereign existence, something our leaders should learn to do. cuba may not turned out as a utopia, but having a country that is able to sustain the needs of the populace and is able to preserve sovereignity in face of damnation by some people's brand of democracy is freedom beyond compare.
now i wonder how the cuba without castro will be..

jayson and i had been obsessing over charo ronquillo (supermodel of the world 2005 2nd runner up) these past few days. such a beautiful face that can shift from marketable commercial look to edgy high fashion effortlessly. she looks a bit like kate moss too! i read somewhere that before she joined the supermodel of the world, she auditioned for starstruck 2 and got eliminated. thank goodness for that!
i hope she rises to the ranks of today's fashion icons like gemma ward and coco rocha among others. and ultimately, be the country's next valuable export to the international fashion industry like anna bayle.

de venecia was ousted as speaker of the house just after delivering a rather fervent speech which what may appear to be an ultimate dying man's confession to the pontiff. then the zte scandal star witness was reposted "missing" by his family resulting to a media frenzy and on the following day he resurfaced, with a bunch of church people around him, proclaiming he was taken in to custody by the police and he is now ready to reveal the whole truth behind the controversy. and all these drama happened just within this week! hay, kung di ba naman sumakit ang ulo mo sa linggong to!
it seems like some people who appears to have been keeping some nasty secrets regarding this issue are now ready to let these out in the open for varied reasons. call of conscience, nationalistic valor, self-preservation, or something else. but whatever their reasons are, i am sure filipinos nationwide (and all over the world as well) who are still concern of the dire status of this country are uttering under their breath: kamote!bakit ngayon lang kayo nagsalita..hay salamat (nga ba?)!
