I WISH IT'S TWILIGHT ZONE INSTEAD
yes, edward cullen had captivated me too, but don't get me wrong. i didn't enjoy twilight as much as the other teenage girls and gays did.
for one, i think the movie (or even the book too but i am not sure of it since i haven't read it yet) was never supposed to be a romantic one. it.is.about.OBSESSION. edward had this strong urge to bite bella's precious neck but his non-human blood diet had deterred him from doing so. instead of going with his instict (which is to attack her), he channeled it into something non-destructive (which is, to "stalk" her and misconstrue his feelings as "love") so that he can still claim her. since he cannot get what he really want from her, he opted to possess her instead. she became a fascitation to him which bordered to an implied obsession. this is the same with the villain vampire. he too had become consumed with the idea of such the prey's (bella's) blood. however, his means more conventional. see my point? i know a lot of twilight fan are now ready to egg me whenever they see me. AND I DON NOT CARE! hahaha!
also, the character development (or the lack thereof) is just very insufficient. i never understand how they "fell in love", no indication whatsoever. no nothing (but if i am bella, i will definitely fall for edward, god he's hot!hahaha!). they just find each other fascinating. no more, no less. ang bilis lang nang pangyayari. ewan ko kung tamang edit lang, o talagang walang ganong kaganapan kahit sa book. basta kiligin lang ang mga readers/viewers nito, ok na. in addition, the girl who portrayed bella looked constipated from the beginning till the end. perhaps she thought she's still diabetic, like her character from panic room, and she's just suffering from hypoglycemia. hahaha! and the "eye shots" of edward is just exasperating and pointless. or perhaps the only point of it is to swoon teenage girls, gays and singles hot mamas like myself (rob pattinson is really hot. he had me since his cedric diggory days). and i must admited, it worked. i nearly screamed my panties out! thank goodness i was able to contain myself. hahaha!
but the movie has its moments. i got to admit, i love the scene when edward invited bella to their home and his family prepared her a meal even if they really do not eat, and when they invited her to their baseball game. it is simply poignant yet not overly sentimental.
thank goodness i didn't pay to see twilight, at least hindi ko pera ang nasayang.hahahaha!! but goodness gracious, british guys are HOT! l'eau, sil vous plait..hahaha!
pebi talking in gibberish again around 3:47 PM
