MYSTERIOUS MALADY i am sick. my feet and arms are extremly cold as if they were soaked in a bucket of ice. in fact, they are soooo cold it feels numb already. i was rushed to the hospital last night, but thank goodness i am strong enough to even walk myself straight to the ER without any aide. an intern was checking me out before he examined me!ha!see, i still find time to flirt even if i'm not feeling well.hehe... anyway, they had my vital signs taken. BP and temperature and all the other medical stuff only mon and nanay can comprehend. they even extracted some blood to check my potassium and whathaveyous. they also check my blood sugar. i was ECGed as well. for a moment, while waiting for the test results, it occured to me that i could have had the sugary disorder from my father's side or maybe the hypertensive from my mom's. i got scared, i am not ready for them yet. not until i'm earning PhP250,000 a month. after almost two hours, the results are screaming normal and stable. and the intern is still checking me out.hahaha! what a relief! the doctor didn't give me any medications except for vitamin b.that was weird, not to mention expensive, hospital detour. but i was still feeling bad, the numbness won't go. so this morning, i opted to try the traditional (or should i say spiritual) alternative. after mumbling some incomprehensible mantra and greasing a white plate with virgin coconut oil before having it smoked by a white candle, the ate told me the spirits are the culprit. "see the skulls? that's why you are feeling very cold." she said . perhaps the mumu from romulo hall did this to me or maybe my lolos and lolas who are already in the afterlife. she then massaged my legs and arms with virgin coconut oil, so after the session i reeked like an old lady suffering from rheumatism. hahaha! she also told me to offer the candle she used to the spirits, let it burn until it's all melted out.surprisingly, i felt relieved. i can feel my legs and arms already. at least there's an improvement. i hope this inexplicable malady will just go away. the last thing i need is an intravenous fluid inserted in my arms and be hospitalized for an indefinite period of time or be paralyzed by the ispiritu and stay at home. my classes will start next week and i can't afford to miss it. embrace me, romulo hall!hahaha!
