i went to insular life in alabang yesterday. they called me last week and told me to drop by their office to take an exam and be interviewed for a job i didn't apply for. it turns out their HR department had searched my resume on jobstreet.com and found my "qualifications" suited for their job opening.
and so, i took the exam and after a couple of hours i was interviewed by the HR manager. she seemed pretty much eager to hire me, told me that they needed a political science graduate for the position. after a split minute pause towards the end of the interview, i ask the HR manager if it is okay for them that i am studying. she said yes, although i have to make some adjustments on my class schedule. but since i am already enrolled and it is an impossibility to ask for any schedule adjustments on any of my class, i asked if they can give me some work schedule adjustments instead. after all, my classes are just twice a week. unfortunately, they cannot (or rather will not) compromise their schedule, specially for my job because it is very much demanding and it requires a considerable amount of "dedication". she told me to give them a call the moment i rescheduled my classes.
a prospect job gone. in any case i don't feel any regret because, as i've mentioned earlier, i never really applied for it so i reckon it is not a wasted opportunity after all. besides, i am now married (take note, hehehe) to graduate school and we are a package deal. you hire me, you hire graduate school as well. hehehe. di bale, marami pa namang jobs dyan na flexible ang sked sa nag-aaral :)
