my solitary quest to the world of the cerebral is now on. hekhek. and it started in the heart of up diliman, palma hall. all thanks to my former job, i was able to endure three hours (yes, i was soo excited) without uttering a single word to anyone (except for the slightly peevish undergrad taking survey regarding the new registration process) while waiting for my class to start. fortunately avemar tan (a former schoolmate), who is also in her first year on the MIS program, is in my anthro class. kaya medyo at home na din ako.
i realized how much of my brain cells deteriorated during my academic hiatus when jocano asked each of us of our idea of anthropology. to begin with, it didn't occur to me during college to take an anthro elective because janine reminded me incessantly that anthro in up manila is restricted to them behaviour science students.madamot na bata! wahahahahaha! hence i do not have a concrete idea on the said disciple. so when it was my turn to answer, i just randomly said my thoughts on culture, history and evolution of culture through examination of artifacts cheverlu chenelin!i'm not even sure if the language i spoke was english, filipino or mandarin. but i'm pretty sure half of my answer is in gibberish. hahaha!
jayson is right, graduate school is very much different from undergrad. the class is smaller and the students are more serious. well then i should start telling myself to act like a confident graduate student and forget the awkward undergrad student that i was.
pebi talking in gibberish again around 11:40 AM
